About
Justin Stubbs
Creative Director, Graphic Designer
I’m Justin, a graphic designer, creative director, and musician based in the Atlanta area.
I started designing in the late ’90s, creating record sleeves and band artwork because my own band needed a demo tape cover. What began as a necessity quickly became a lifelong creative pursuit. Since then, I’ve designed thousands of album layouts, concert posters, logos, merchandise, websites, and brand identities for bands, businesses, and organizations around the world.
The phrase “Designing Death since 2005” carries more than one meaning.
Much of my creative work has lived in the darker corners of music, particularly death metal and other underground subcultures. At the same time, I have spent the better part of two decades working professionally as a funeral director and embalmer and now serve as a creative director within the funeral industry. Death has been part of both my creative world and my professional life, making the line a fitting double entendre for the work I do and the experiences that have shaped me.
My work is rooted in strong typography, thoughtful branding, and a deep appreciation for music, subculture, and visual storytelling. Whether I’m building a complete identity system or designing a single piece of artwork, my goal is always the same: to create something intentional, memorable, and true to the people behind it.
My books are currently open, so reach out if you’d like to work together.
